My long-awaited trip to the Grand Canyon

The sign sums it all up. It is surely God's awesome creation and it leaves you breathless and in tears to imagine the greatness. I will forever be thankful to have seen it.

More Photos of Sean

Sean is only in the bottom photo. The rest are courtesy of the Army posted on Facebook while his company was in boot camp. They give some idea of the training they had.

Sean Off to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO

May 30 our Sean left via his first plane ride for Missouri. Said later it was alright except for take offs and landings. That's sure to change over the years in the military.
We've heard from him often and his parents have gotten phone calls, usually short, but today's was almost 30 minutes.
He appears to be enjoying it and should finish up August 11. We'll all be going for his graduation. His dad has rooms reserved already for us.

Sean goes in the Army

Our youngest grandson, Sean, joined the Army last May and finished boot camp at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO in August. We were all proud to be at his graduation. He was more than glad to see family after all those weeks. Next he was stationed at Fr. Huachuca, AZ until Jan. 2012. His orders then came for none other than....Scofield Barracks, Hawaii! What a tough assignment! He is enjoying the beautiful climate there, but really missing family so far away. We haven't gotten many photos from him in Hawaii, but hope to go next year to take our own.
